Function / Content

This series consists of a register of special licences, occupation blocks, and water leases. The volume was used to record the following details; number of block, name of occupier, situation, date and term of agreement, annual rent, paid to (date), and remarks. The special licences related to fisherman's residences, and the occupation blocks were for gardening and residential purposes, mainly for Chinese people in Darwin and Emungalun.
